My Bio

Hello and welcome to my biography. I would like to take a few moments to introduce myself in order to help you find the right real estate broker to represent you. I first came to Greensboro to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Earth Science / Environmental Studies in 2003 and a Master’s degree in Applied Geography concentrating in Urban Planning in 2007. From this point I started my career in city/county planning and after five years, I discovered that what I enjoyed most was helping people. I know that the regulatory world is often confusing to property owners who are unsure of how regulations affect their property. While not “a typical real estate agent,” I have over five years of City/County planning experience. When assisting you, my in-depth knowledge of government regulations can reveal additional opportunities for your property or help you find the appropriate property to purchase. Examples of how planning regulations may affect finding the right property for you or the marketing of your existing property. For many of us where we live and work reflects who we are and our interests. With my planning background, I am familiar with most regulations that can affect your property and can make the process of getting through the red tape easier. For example, you need a large shop for your RV or vintage car. If there are no properties for sale that have the shop you need, you may decide to build the shop of your dreams. In most cases, there are local, state and federal regulations that affect how large a building you can have or if a property can have the building you wish to build. With my regulatory background I can identify these regulations and help direct you to properties that will meet your needs without wasting your valuable time. While not a new movement by any stretch of the imagination, today many of us choose to live in a more environmentally sustainable fashion. For example solar homes have unique siting requirements to achieve their maximum efficiency. Today many people enjoy keeping chickens at their homes for fresh eggs. Many of these well intentioned homeowners’ don’t realize that these chickens may run afoul of local city regulations that could result in the removal of the chickens. Having an experienced planner on your side is vital to insure your plans don’t remain cooped up. While a planner, I had some great experiences working with several real estate brokers and I decided that it was time to leave the governmental regulatory world so that I can help more people more directly. To that end, in December 2015, I joined Keller Williams Realty Greensboro North office.
